MTV EMAs 2014 to be held in GLASGOW

MTV has announced that Glasgow will serve as the host city for the 2014 Europe Music Awards.

The 20th anniversary ceremony will take place at Glasgow's new SSE Hydro Arena, which opened earlier this year.

This will be the second time that the MTV EMAs have been held in Scotland, after Edinburgh hosted the 2003 gala.

Next year's show coincides with Glasgow hosting the 2014 Commonwealth Games in the summer.
